Vaccinations from 6-8 weeks build your kitten's defenses. Keep your cat safe from diseases.
Here at Cornerstone Square Veterinary Hospital, our goal is to prevent illnesses. When you vaccinate your cat, you give them a fighting chance to defend themselves against diseases that could be fatal. With their protection in place, their lives can be filled with more enjoyable adventures and memories. To create a vaccine plan for your pet, please contact us at 403-242-0045.
It is safe for kittens to get vaccinated from about 6 to 8 weeks old. We highly recommend not letting them play outside before their first vaccines as it is not safe. From there, they will continue to receive an additional series of vaccines until they are 4-months-old. As they enter their adult years, we recommend bringing in your cat one to every three years for their booster vaccines. Depending on your pet’s health needs, risks and lifestyle, our veterinarians would be happy to create a vaccine plan tailored to your pet’s needs.
Core vaccinations are vaccines that all cats should receive. They are vital in helping protect them against harmful common diseases such as:
We strongly recommend that all cats get vaccinated, even if they enjoy lounging at home. Cats can pick up parasites and infectious diseases from anywhere – even in your home! This is why it’s essential to provide your pet with the protection and care they need to stay healthy and live longer, fuller lives.
