How does a parasite prevention plan work?

What parasites can infect my pet?

There are two kinds of parasites: internal and external. Internal parasites live inside your pet’s body and can cause infections and severe damage to their internal organs. External parasites live on the outside of their bodies, on their skin. Common parasites that can infect pets include tapeworms, ticks, roundworms, fleas, and heartworms.

How do I know if my pet is infected?

The best and simplest way to know is to get your pet tested regularly and stay on top of their preventative medication. It can be hard to tell if your pet has been infected as they may not show any visible symptoms. Symptoms to keep a lookout for include:
