Alex was born and raised in Winnipeg until she moved to Calgary when she was 10 years old. Shortly after graduating from high school, Alex started her own grooming business with her mother that thrived for 3 years. Alex decided to go in another direction and get into the veterinary industry where she worked in an emergency clinic for 2 years and then a local small animal hospital for another couple of years. She completed the AHT program through TRU in 2017 and fulfilled her dream of becoming an RVT. Alex got into the vet industry because she wants to be an advocate for the animals to ensure they are in a safe and caring environment and to treat all as if they were her own. Her favourite part about working at Cornerstone is the small tight-knit family environment feel at the clinic.
Alex, along with her husband Justin have two rescue cats Olive and Lily, and Tucker and Lola, their two dogs round out the family perfectly. Alex and her family love the summer and spending time on their boat as much as possible. Alex enjoys the nursing and care giving aspect most about vet medicine.
